WattMan Lite is an IoT based product, from Zenatix, tailor made for standalone ACs. It is a simple plug-and-play and easy to configure device that converts your existing AC into a smart AC, with ability to control it over Internet. Sensor data from WattMan Lite is analysed to tell in advance when the AC needs servicing. Besides the app, WattMan Lite also comes with a web dashboard for enterprises to centrally control their 100s of ACs from a common location.
Some unique benefits of WattMan Lite are:
1. Energy Savings - Set automated schedules for switching on and off the ACs. These schedules can be extended to set slightly higher temperature in the early morning and evening times, depending on the outside weather. For your meeting rooms, you can set the rule to switch on the AC when the lights are turned on and automatically switch off when lights are switched off.
2. Preventive maintenance - Using the high resolution (we sample these sensors every 30 seconds) data from in built temperature and humidity sensors, our smart algorithms can tell you in advance when your AC needs servicing.
3. Offline operations – Even if your internet is not working, configured sensor and time based schedules will continue to work. If your phone is on the same WiFi network as the device, you can change the AC settings over the local network in an offline mode.
4. CCTV for your AC usage – Are you concerned that your AC is being operated during non-working hours or night time? WattMan Lite can give you real time as well as historical visibility into AC operations through a web dashboard. This can be used to not just see when AC is operated without your knowledge but also analyse how each occupant has been using the AC over the past few days/weeks/months.
5. Benchmarking occupants to drive further energy savings – You can share the control of an AC with different users. Automated reports can be generated to provide information on when a specific control action was performed by which user. These reports can be internally used to further encourage the occupants to drive increased energy savings.
6. Vendor Agnostic – WattMan Lite supports more than 600 different models of ACs across all the major brands. Even if your AC is not in our database, we just need your remote for 30 minutes and we will add it to our database.
7. Helping you with AC selection - Once we have enough ACs controlled by WattMan Lite (and for all of them temperature and humidity information at high resolution), we can tell you which models of ACs are good for different weather conditions of different cities. We believe we should be in this state by summer 2018.
